With just TWO DAYS to go until we start our Two Ball adventure, we are still adding the finishing touches to Eva Mini.
Sadly, we are aware of how many Mini's that are stolen - the fact is that older cars are quite easy to break into and away the crooks go. With this in mind, we have added a few extra security measures to try and keep her safe.
The most obvious security feature is her bespoke wheel clamp - her wheels are just too tiny for a "normal" one - and this we place on her every night. Then there is the quick release, F1 type steering wheel which we remove whenever we park. You may get odd looks walking around carrying a car steering wheel, but at least you know you'll come back to find your car still there.
And we asked Dan of DCH automotive LTD to fit an S7 tracking system. This means that should she go missing we will be able to pin point where she is.
We have one more task to complete back up at Marine Garage Services, her belly needs a little attention, and we'll get her washed, and then boom! Off to the Channel Tunnel we will speed....
