Dolphin's PAT Testing

In addition to all of the more usual IT support services that Dolphin provide, we also undertake PAT Testing for businesses.

PAT Testing, or Portable Appliance Testing, is an integral and necessary part of any small businesses Health and Safety policy. The Health & Safety at Work Act (1974) requires the implementation of a systematic and regular program of maintenance, inspection and testing of all portable appliances in the following circumstances:

1. Where appliances are used by employees.
2. Where the public may use appliances in establishments such as hospitals, schools, hotels, shops etc.
3. Where appliances are supplied or hired.
4. Where appliances are repaired or serviced.

Dolphin’s engineers are not only experts in all aspects of business IT they are also fully qualified PAT testers. Having been called in on several occasions to sort out office networks that had been disrupted by unknowing electricians, Dolphin trained all of their technicians to PAT test to save their own clients this unnecessary downtime, and we now offer this service as a satellite to our other business support services for companies who just need to know that when their appliances get tested their computer systems will remain intact.
